25 April 2009: SOFTEC09 Call for Papers attracted more than 30 paper
submissions
SOFTEC’s Call For Papers closed on 30 March 2009 and has attracted
more than 30 papers submitted by professionals local and international.
Out of the papers submitted, 5 papers have been selected to be presented
at SOFTEC09, where they will again be evaluated by a panel of experts
for final marks for the Best Paper. The Best Paper will be announced
on the Conference Day of 22 July 2009.
25 March 2009; MSTB attends ISTQB General Assembly meeting
in Sydney, Australia
MSTB President, Mastura Abu Samah will be attending the ISTQB General
Assembly Meeting in Sydney, Australia on 26 March 2009. This will
be a landmark meeting for MSTB as the new executives of ISTQB for
the period of 2009 – 2011 will be elected amongst the General
Assembly. MSTB’s President has been nominated for the post
of ISTQB Secretary and her nomination shows that Malaysia is serious
in improving its Q-Worker standards and enhancing the quality of
its testers in the country.
17 March 2009: MSTB Test Talk featuring Rex Black and Wonil Kwon
MSTB is organizing a Test Talk, featuring Rex Black and Wonil Kwon.
To be held at the Auditorium of Technology Park Malaysia, this Test
Talk is one of the many testing-related knowledge-packed events aimed
at bringing the best experts in the world to Malaysia to share their
testing experiences and expertise. Organised in collaboration with
Custommedia Sdn Bhd and Technology Park Malaysia, entry fee to this
Test Talk is RM100 per person, and one additional free seat given

16 October 2008: MSTB attends ISTQB General Assembly meeting in New
Delhi
President of MSTB, Mastura Abu Samah will represent MSTB at the ISTQB
General Assembly meeting to be held in New Delhi, India on 16 October
2008. Hosted by the Indian Testing Board (ITB), MSTB will present
its proposal to host the ISTQB assembly for its meeting in July 2009.
2 September 2008: Malaysia Needs More Software

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia does not have enough certified people in software testing
to support the demand from out ICT industry, according to the Multimedia Development
Corporation (MDeC). MDeC is the caretaker of the MSC Malaysia initiative.
