The Software Testing Conference 2010 (SOFTEC2010) is scheduled for July 19 - 21, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Mutiara, Kuala Lumpur and once again we are delighted to invite submission for papers for one of the foremost software testing event in the region.

SOFTEC2010 seeks to address concerns and matters of significance to bridging the gap in the vaaried aspects of software testing issues that look into managing of the resources particularly the human resource aspects.

While expertise, tools and solutions are easily obtained, it is critical for the stakeholders of the profession to leverage on the advancements in software testing to define the development pathway for professionals and service providers, towards establishing expertise and confirming Malaysia's position as the Testing Hub in the region.

The defining focus for SOFTEC2010 is 'Bridging the Gap'. In addressing the gaps that exist, it is now important to make a connection where there are differences in terms of knowledge & techniques, skills, processes, good resources, technology, governance & leadership, and the nurtured experience. These pieces matter, but fitting and connecting them together is where all the value can be realized.


The conference’s main objective is to allow organizations to get a full grasp of the significance of software testing in the way they conduct business today. It also aims to encourage continuing professional developments among IT professionals and subsequently create a pool of quality testing professionals that would serve both domestic and offshore companies.


A two-day pre-conference workshop and tutorials will be conducted simultaneously while a trade exhibition will also run concurrently until the day of the main conference. The conference will feature a ministerial level keynote address as well as prominent international speakers.

While SOFTEC2010 is a platform for professionals and students in the testing field, it is mainly targeted for IT managers and decision makers in the field of software and system quality assurance.
