Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB) is a voluntary and non-profit organization that represents the national industry interests and promotes the broad profession of software testing. Incepted in 2006 and incorporated in June 2008 as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG), MSTB is focused on supporting the Malaysian software testing industry.

MSTB’s Visions are:

• To promote software testing as a respectable profession throughout the ICT industry in Malaysia
• To propagate the ISTQB tester certification as a standard for K-Workers within the ICT profession in Malaysia
• To promote growth of IT software industry in Malaysia through quality software that is of world-standard and recognized worldwide.

MSTB’s Mission are:

• To engage participation of the industry to adopt and adapt testing as integral part of quality
• Contribute to the supply of K-Workers by providing the skill sets required by the ICT industry through ISTQB Certification programs
• To contribute to the common body of understanding and knowledge about testing through participation in ISTQB platforms

As a member of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), MSTB provides the leadership and regulates the accreditation process and certification regulations for the Malaysian software industry; through promoting the development of a common body of understanding and knowledge about testing in alignment with ISTQB programmes that are internationally recognized.

It is MSTB’s aspiration to create a pool of software testers who has a strong regards for their profession through adopting/inculcating a sense of thoroughness their total services by adopting an in depth testing & quality skills in them.
