The MSTB Software Testing Conference 2009 is a leading software
testing conference in Malaysia, with participation of local and international

SOFTEC conference held in 2008 was supported by the Ministry of Science,
Technology & Innovation of Malaysia (MOSTI) and successfully

areas of software testing.
SOFTEC 2009 is scheduled to host a larger number of local and international
participants, with various pre-events and a conference programme
that will cater to diverse software testing topics and specialisation.
As the organizer of SOFTEC 2009, Malaysian Software Testing Board
(www.mstb.org) invites all to participants to this conference, and
welcomes all organisations to participate as sponsors and supporters
of this event.
SOFTEC09 Theme: Software Testing: Mind The Gap
The 'Mind' concept embraces the scope of attending, taking care,
concentrate or simply be watchful, or in the corporate sense refers
to managing and addressing the myriad of issues, variances, discrepancies
and inconsistencies when “Gaps” exists in any of its
core practice and business areas.
Software testing is a cognitively complex technical activity that
combines areas of knowledge & techniques, skills, processes,
good resources, technology, governance & leadership, and the
nurtured experience, towards ensuring software quality that has become
a key factor for the success of products and organisations.
SOFTEC2009’s theme “Mind The Gap” therefore explores
the challenges, practices, learnings, innovations and the roles of
the industry stakeholders in minding the gaps that exist: identifying,
addressing and even exploiting the gaps that exist in pursuit of
software testing with the ultimate goal of managing the organization’s
bottom line and profitability through quality software products.
The Conference will feature keynotes and presentations , with high-quality
knowledge materials delivered by members of the international quality
engineering community. All lectures will be delivered in English.
Satellite events organized throughout the conference week include
exhibitions by leading industry organizations to demonstrate their
tools and services, as well as tutorials and test clinic conducted
by experts in the industry. Various events will also be held throughout
Kuala Lumpur and several regional locations as a lead up to the conference.

the ISTQB Advanced Level Working Party meeting. Esteemed members
of the
International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) are
