Malaysian Software
Testing Board (MSTB) is a voluntary and non-profit organization
that represents the national industry interests and promotes
the broad profession of software testing.
As a member
of the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB),
MSTB provides the leadership and regulates the accreditation
process and certification regulations for the Malaysian software
industry; through promoting the development of a common body
of understanding and knowledge about testing in alignment with
ISTQB programmes that are internationally recognized.
It is MSTB’s
aspiration to create a pool of software testers who has a strong
regards for their profession through adopting/inculcating a sense
of thoroughness their total services by adopting an in depth
testing & quality skills in them. No similar skills program
is available in Malaysia currently. Based on the evaluation of
the Malaysian software industry, there is no common standard
being adopted for software testers that would be recognized as
widely as the ISTQB's. It is the mission of MSTB to bring the
value and quality of the ISTQB syllabus and certification to
the local and regional industry, such that the IT industries
can speed up to be at par with the international level of expertise
and quality.
